May Wrap Up!

Hey everyone! So this month, I haven’t really had much time to read because of finals, which really stink, but the one good part of finals is that it means that school is wrapping up, so hopefully I’ll have more time to read in June!

In May, I didn’t really stick to my TBR list, but I’m not to upset about that. I’m kind of disappointed that I didn’t read more this month, but that’s okay. Let’s start with what I read in May!

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

This was the first book that I read in May, and while it was amazing, it left me in quite a book hangover. I had to take a week or so to just let it sink in, and than I was able to read another book.

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

For those of you who have been reading my posts for a while, you guys probably know how much I love Cassandra Clare, so I was so excited to read this book, and I loved it! I’m so excited to finish reading the infernal devices!

The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann

This is a middle grade book that has been on my TBR shelf for a while, so when I wanted to read an easy, quick book, I read this one. It was actually really good, and I want to continue the series eventually, but it’s not one of my top priorities right now.

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

This was the last book that I read in May, and I really enjoyed it as well. I haven’t read many scifi books, but I definitely want to continue on with this trilogy, and if you have any good scifi books you’d recommend, let me know!

The reason I’m not doing a June TBR this month is because I don’t want to worry about sticking to it, so I’m just going to read whatever I feel like and as much as I can. The one thing I know I’m going to read is Boy With Words by CE Wilson because the author sent me an arc, so plan for a review to come soon! Thanks!

Shelf Candy Saturday #9!

Welcome to Shelf Candy Saturday #9! This weeks book is one of the books that I don’t really know much about, I just know that I’ve seen it everywhere, and thought that the cover is gorgeous, so I decided to share it…

The Love That Split The World by Emily Henry!

I love this book and thought the cover was so beautiful! Have you read it yet? What did you guys think? Let me know in the comments!

Dear No One

Hey guys. I’ve been pondering stuff lately, because I’m in a pondering mood, and I’ve been thinking about the concept of writing letters to nobody. I know that To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before has a similar concept, but what if every time you wanted to say something that you know you shouldn’t, you  just wrote a letter, or even a little note, addressed to that person, but never for them to receive. So a few nights ago, I tried it. It was the middle of the night, and I really could not sleep. I was just thinking about so much stuff, and my brain would not shut off. I’ve tried keeping a diary, I’ve tried journaling, I’ve even tried meditating, and while I enjoy doing all of those, that night I decided to try something new. I took out one of my notebooks from the basket under my bed, and wrote a letter.

I wrote a letter to the person who was popping up in my mind the most, and I just wrote out my feelings. I think I might tweak it in the future and just write to “No One”, but I found this letter writing process to be oddly relaxing. I think it really helped to kind of solidify my thoughts into paper and ink.

Have you ever written a letter that you know you will never send? If you try it, let me know!

Shelf Candy Saturday #8

Hey everyone! I’m actually super duper excited for this weeks Shelf Candy Saturday! This weeks Shelf Candy Saturday is…

Empire of Storms by Sara J Maas!

Those of you who have been reading my posts for a while probably know how much I love Sarah J Maas. She is literally my queen. So when she finally posted her cover reveal for Empire of Storms I was ecstatic! I cannot wait for this book to come out. I need it. Now!

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

Hey everyone! This is going to be a spoiler filled review, so if you haven’t read this book yet, come back later.

Me Before You is the first book that I’ve read by Jojo Moyes, and also the first book to make me sob. Me Before You has all the feels. It was super sad of course, but it was also so funny! Lou is such an amazing character, with such a fun personality, and I loved reading about her. This book was just so much fun. I really loved the writing style, and gave it to my friend immediately after I finished it, so we could discuss all the feels.

Can I just start of by telling you how much I hate Patrick? If you are following me on Goodreads, then you would see that most of my updates are about how much I despise Patrick. Many of my updates are just wondering when Lou is going to break up with him, so I was super happy when she finally did.

I finished this book in the middle of the night, and cried for the better part of an hour after I finished it. This book was a love story, but not at all in the traditional sense. It showed the harsh reality of life, and while it was upsetting, it was the truth. Me Before You shows that not everything has a happy ending. All in all, this was a beautiful book, but I don’t plan on reading the sequel. Have you read it? Let me know what you thought of Me Before You by leaving a comment down below!

Have a nice day!

Have I Been Tagged?

Hey everyone. So I know that this is kind of random, but if you notice that someone tagged me, could you please let me know? I feel like I’ve been missing a lot of tags because I didn’t see when someone tagged me. Thanks!
